At the Corner of Curriculum & Instruction:
  • November is parent/teacher conference time, and a great way to get to know your child’s teachers and curriculum.  The parent and school relationship is very important in Edgewater Park.  Be sure to sign up for parent/teacher conferences, check your child’s teachers’ websites, and call or email when you have questions.
  • Click here to read an article about What Parents Can Ask and Do to Help Children Thrive at School.
  • Sometimes students come home and when we ask them about their day they say “fine, good, or ok.”  Does this sound familiar?  Better yet, what did you do today?  They respond “lunch” or “recess.”  It is oftentimes difficult to find a way to connect with your child about how they feel about school and learn more about what is going on during their day.  Click here to read an article Talking with Kids About School.
